GS1 Armenia ( formerly EAN Armenia) is the only authorized organization by GS1 ( former EAN International), to administer and maintain the GS1 (EAN/UCC) system in Armenia.

GS1 s a voluntary, non-profit making international association currently comprising 108 Numbering Organizations operating on a national basis. GS1 developed and maintain, through a network of national organizations, a global, multi-sectorial coding standards for all users,   with the objective of providing a common language for trade.

 About  1 000 000 companies and organizations world-wide have adopted the GS1 system.

The GS1 system is a key which gives access to the business world, facilitating national and international communication between various trading partners. It is formed by multi-sectorial standards for a unique and unambiguous identification of products, services and locations, data carriers allowing the automatic processing of items, and electronic messages that complement logistic and supply information exchange between trading partners, in a cost effective and consistent manner.

EPCglobal is industry’s trusted partner for driving the global adoption and implementation of the EPC Network across industry sectors. Our mission is to make organizations more effective by enabling true visibility of information about items in the supply chain. To that end, EPCglobal develops and oversees standards for the Electronic Product Code (EPC) Network. Additionally, EPCglobal provides a global EPCTM number registry service for electronic product codes in the supply chain.
